Today I would like to make special mention of cosmetic products made in China, is being criticized as much the questionable quality of some brands cheap.

I think first we must not forget that the word China is not always equivalent to brands of Chinese shops, because in China are also made many of the faces. Precisely because that is where most are made of cosmetics is also where cloned and copied in abundance.

The Asian giant with the United States is among the most polluting countries in the world, and are products such as cosmetics of the most involved in this black list.

In Asia, specifically in China, companies like L'Oreal are increasing the production of cosmetics, with the intention of reducing the cost of some brands traditionally expensive as Vichy and Biotherm, which are manufactured in Europe.

exposed consumers Are we in a war of cheaper prices?. Are they good for health products cheap?, To what extent harm the environment?.

regard to health, chemicals that are manufactured and sold without information on possible human health effects. In recent years have increased malformations and premature births, and diseases like cancer, asthma, developmental disorders and reproductive system, immune disorders, etc. .. The risk of these disorders is increased by exposure to substances chemicals in cosmetics, perfumes, nail polish, shampoos, soaps, etc. ..

Moreover nanoparticles in cosmetics can damage the market environment. there are already hundreds of products using microscopic particles of about 1/5.000 times the diameter of a human hair. Also many more products are ready for release.

A study by Cyndee Gruden and Olga Mileyeva-Biebesheimer of the University of Toledo (Ohio, USA), has focused on nano-particles of titanium dioxide (nano-TiO2) present in cosmetics, sunscreens and other personal care products. Particles are added to those products very beneficial effects in blocking ultraviolet rays in sunlight. Excessive exposure to the latter can cause premature aging of the skin, and skin cancer.

Gruden explains that the particles disappear down the drain of the bath houses and people end up in municipal water treatment plants. From there, they can reach lakes, rivers and other water sources in which microorganisms play a key role in maintaining a healthy environment.

Finally, can you buy an expensive product, believing it is good for you and if not, can you buy one cheap and believe it is bad not to be. What is clear is that the Chinese market are consumers who do not seem to care much about the sanitary quality of a product and if the cheaper prices becoming more competitive.

And there is always the concern of animal testing. Are not we humans are the victims of a long-term testing of our own products?

In any case will remain privileged spectators of a circus in which expensive and cheap brands come together in this aimless consumerism to finish cutting down the trees that remain.
